MPEA Board of Directors
The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority’s (MPEA) Board is comprised of nine members. Four members are appointed by the Governor of Illinois and four members are appointed by the Mayor of Chicago. The Chairman is selected by the MPEA Board of Directors. These individuals lead MPEA in its mission to attract trade shows, conventions and public events to Chicago as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the state and city economies.

The meeting of the Board of the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority will be offered virtually through Microsoft Teams – Live Event. Microsoft Teams is not required if accessing the meeting from a computer, however, the Microsoft Teams app is required if a mobile device or tablet is used.

The Board of the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) Public Comment Process for Meetings Conducted by Videoconference
Due to the current health crisis, there is no in-person participation for the MPEA Board meeting.
The MPEA Board will participate remotely. The public can observe the livestream meeting at https://www.mpea.com/mpea-board-members/.
- Persons wishing to comment at the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) Board meeting conducted by videoconference shall complete the form on MPEA’s website or call no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day prior to the meeting. The form must clearly identify the proposed speaker, contact information and the subject matter of the comments to be presented.
- After 5:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled meeting, the Board Administrator will contact each participant at the telephone number provided, and give them instructions to access the meeting, including a telephone number and passcode.
- At 8:50 a.m. on the day of the meeting, participants must call into the meeting from the telephone number they originally provided to the MPEA and wait to be called upon to speak.

Public Comment at MPEA Board and Committee Meetings
Public comments may be addressed to the Board (or Board committee) at a time specified on the agenda of the Public Meeting. Persons wishing to address the Board (or Board committee) at such a Public Meeting must complete a registration form and submit it to the MPEA Board Administrator, you may download the procedures and guidelines here. You may complete and submit the form below, download and submit the form via email to mpeaboard@mpea.com or send by fax to the MPEA Board Administrator at 312-791-6580 no later than 5:00 pm on the day prior to the meeting. The registration form will also be available at the security sign-in desk on the day of the Public Meeting.
Notice of the date and time for regularly scheduled meetings of the MPEA Board is posted in the above section. Unless otherwise specified in a duly posted meeting notice, meetings are held in the 5th Floor Board Room at MPEA’s Corporate Center, located at 301 E. Cermak Road, Chicago, Illinois 60616.
